Growing the Power to Thrive—Through Joyful Learning

At Ohisama Kindergarten, we nurture the power to live in an ever-changing world shaped by AI and global challenges. In today’s rapidly evolving society, what children need most is the ability to think flexibly, act independently, and grow into compassionate global citizens. At Ohisama, learning is joyful, discovery is daily, and smiles greet each new day. We create a space where children look forward to coming to school—excited, curious, and ready to grow.

Educational Philosophy & Learning Goals

At Ohisama, we embrace the Reggio Emilia approach to nurture resilient, adaptable global citizens—ready to thrive in an ever-changing, AI-driven world. Our learning environment fosters growth across six key domains:

🌱 Emotional Security, Confidence, and Well-being

We provide a safe and loving environment for your child’s first group experience. With consistent, caring teachers, we nurture emotional stability and healthy self-esteem through close, individualized attention.

🔍 Curiosity and the Joy of Discovery

We encourage children to pursue their interests deeply and to develop a genuine love of learning. Through inquiry-based activities, they grow their ability to observe, question, and explore.

🤝 Morality and Cooperation

Children learn the joy of working with others—building empathy, following shared rules, and experiencing the reward of creating something together as a team.

🗣 Expression and Presentation Skills

Children learn to listen carefully to others and express their own feelings and ideas clearly. We help them develop structured thinking, age-appropriate vocabulary, and confidence in speaking to a group.

🎨 Creativity, Imagination, and Initiative

Through hands-on experiences, children learn to think independently, make decisions, and take action. They are encouraged to follow through on their ideas and reflect on outcomes with a sense of ownership.
